The tablets are easy to use and are not individually wrapped (unlike their try "tablet variety) which means less waste. I enjoy the lemon smell, so these make dishwashing almost a pleasure! (almost)The only possible hitch with these is that you need to make sure your hands are dry before grabbing one. The "skin" on these is a water soluble gelatin which works similarly to medicine caplets. As soon as it touches water, it gets sticky and starts to dissolve. If you dip your dripping hand into a bucket of these things, the water you leave behind will either cause the rest of the product to pop and leak or at the minimum stick to each other and rip when you go to grab the next one. The price was great and I had never tried this particular variety before, so I figured I'd give them a try.While they leave a fresh smell in the dishwasher and in the kitchen while the dishwasher is running, they actually performed terribly for me. They left an absolutely horrible white residue in my dishwasher, all over the inside and all over the racks. My dishes also come out with this horrible residue. I thought maybe it was just a fluke, so I have used the ActionPacs a few more times, but the same thing happens each time. I am not sure why they do this. I have used many different types of dishwasher paks over the past several years and I have never, ever had this happen before. I switched back to my regular paks, and the problem is gone. Very happy with the results. Dishes come out nice and clean, plus our tea cups are bright white. Previously we'd have to use polident to whiten the cups up, but now it's just into the dishwasher and done. As long as they make this, we'll keep using it. Also, haven't noticed any decrease in cleaning power since they reduced the amount of phosphates in the pacs. |
