The Phospate free stuff is terrible, my silverware always came out dirty, white powder in my coffee cups and the stainless part of my dishwasher had turned white. In the process, we also changed to Finish Electrasol 3-in-1 dishwashing tablets, mainly because our local warehouse club offered a special introductory two-dollar-off coupon. Our first load of dirty dishes came out stunningly well. We were greatly impressed! Was it the new dishwasher (IKEA by the Whirlpool Corporation) or the new detergent that made the difference? Well, it was probably both, but the Finish Electrasol Tabs worked so well we've been using them ever since.When it comes to cleaning the dishes, we try to practice a certain amount of common sense. Plates, dinnerware, cooking utensils and other things are lightly scraped and cleaned off after use and not allowed to dry hard. We tried all varieties of Cascade and the results were always bad. We had service on dishwasher thinking that was the problem. We even ordered and will have installed next week a water softener. Nothing we did helped. Then I read the Consumer Report about this product and immediately went to pick it up. I can't believe the glasses and silverware are actually spotlessly clean. I have used Cascade for 20+ years. I don't know what is different but only the Finish Powerball Tabs work at getting glassware, dishes and silverware clean in the new dishwashers. I am bumbed we havethat water softener scheduled for install - a grand we didn't need to spend but too late to cancel and yeah to finding this wonderful product. |
