Planet Automatic Dishwasher Detergent, Powdered, 75-Ounce (Pack of 8) Reviews

However, this stuff works about as well as using sand in your dishwasher or simply omitting detergent altogether. There is a film of grease on roughly 50% of the items in my dishwasher after using a very generous amount of this powder. I have plates that have been washed with it 3 times and still have a layer of grease and film on them. Here our water is not very hard or soft and there is nothing otherwise unusual; the loads I run would have been cleaned well by a normal detergent. Since I now have 8 boxes of this stuff, I am hoping that mixing a little bit of regular detergent will allow me to use this stuff up and still clean my dishes, otherwise its fifty bucks down the drain (literally). I would not recommend buying this product. And the dust makes me cough if I inhale it... Like the other reviewers, I also had a film on everything. It was embarrassing! It looked like we simply licked our dishes after using them and put them back in the cupboard. In addition to that, about halfway through the box, the grains caked up and stuck together making it extremely difficult to get any soap out!!! 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Doesn't seem to work very well, By Amazon customer (California) - See all my reviews This review is from: Planet Automatic Dishwasher Detergent, Powdered, 75-Ounce (Pack of 8) (Health and Beauty) I've known about this product for years and only recently decided to try it out. Well, it doesn't seem to get the dishes clean. There is a film and residual coloring on the dishes and the coffee mugs still have coffee film in them. I'll give them 2 stars for at least making a non phosphorus product, but I won't buy this again.Method makes a great biodegradable dishwashing soap and we're going to see if they make detergent as well. |
