Even after rinsing four times, the perfume-y smell and taste(!) lingers on dishes. It imparts this flavor into your coffee, sautés, or whatever else is unfortunate enough to come into contact with what you've just washed. I've tried all of the scents but basil has been my favorite so far. This soap is not a big sudser. I suggest to refrain from adding more than necessary to get more suds. A little goes a long way. I made this error when I first tried the brand and even though I rinsed my dishes well, I could taste the soap in some of the cups. I do not recommend tasting it! It leaves a film on your hands and plastic dishes and cutting boards, creating a film and sudsy effect I could not wash off no matter how hard I tried. The smell of the soap on my hands was unbearable - getting on food stuff even after I had rinsed several times. The soap is thick and truly should not be used near food or on anything you eat off of unless you want to lick off soap. I will go back to Shaklee liquid dish soap. It is way more expensive and you have to pay for shipping - but is is the cleanest, purest, non-scented and most effective soap I have ever used. In this case, you do get what you pay... Read more |
