The gel pack is easy, but the lemon scent is WAY too strong, it flavors the water from glasses that have been washed with this soap. I won't use it again. It smells good when the washing machine is running, but it lingers on the dishes.

I think the above Amazon description is not for the gel pacs.
With the gel pacs, you open a zip-lok baggie and toss in the gel pac. There is no unwrapping. There is no jet dry ball in the gel pacs.
There is a product like the one you describe above, but those are tablets and are not gel pacs.
The gel pacs are pricey, but great to use! The zip-lok baggie was a pain to close, so I placed the rest of the gel pacs in a recycled, cleaned, dried, screw top container. Badda-bing! Badda-boom! No stress dispenser.

This thing works okay like any other dishwasher soap. The thing I don't like this stuff is that I have to seal tightly the container bag so gelpacks don't get moisture in the air, otherwise, they melt in the container bag.

Refill liquid is for use only in Dawn Direct Foam pump bottles. Dawn Direct Foam breaks grease into tiny particles, absorbs and locks them into the foam. We love this soap but cannot find the refills in local stores, so we have resorted to Amazon. In the first shipment, one of the bottle lids was loose and half a bottle of soap had spilled out. The second time, one lid wasn't even on a bottle and the whole thing spilled. The box was saturated and dribbled soap from the mail truck through the house and back out to the garbage. What a MESS.

I tried to purchase Dawn Direct Foam dishwashing foam in the 30.9 ounce size. The first shipment contained the original carton of 6 bottles packed on its side in an Amazon box. When I recieved the package all the bottles leaked due to the caps being loose and the bottles were lying on their sides. I requested a replacement item and epxlained the packing problems. The replacement shipment arrived in the same condition so I requested a refund and returned the merchandise. I strongly advise against purchasing this item on line.

I absolutely love this soap. I love it so much that I give the pump bottles as gifts to my friends. They were skeptical at first, but they very quickly saw how nice it is in all the time they save in washing dishes.

Unfortunately, it seems that both the pump bottles in the stores and the refills shipped by Amazon have a flaw. It is too easy for these bottles to leak soap if they are upside down for an extended period of time. The postal carrier who delivered my Dawn Direct Foam refills was alarmed by liquid that seemed to be dripping from the box. During opening I feared the worse, but it turned out that only about 5% of each bottle leaked during shipping. I like the soap so much that I didn't want to return it. Dawn could improve this already awesome product if they improved their bottle designs to prevent leakage.

It is annoying that I seem unable to find these refills in stores anywhere in the southern New Hampshire or northern Massachusetts area. =(

Here's the thing: SALS is not a soap. It is not made from the saponified natural oils like most of Bronners excellent products. This is a mix of surfactants derived from natural sources. While it is mild enough for skin contact, it is not intended for cleaning bodies. SALS is a concentrated cleanser for use on hard surfaces. Floors, counters, walls... like that.
If it helps, think of this as a natural, non-irritating, highly concentrated pinesol competitor. It rinses clean and breaks down very quickly. [...].

We use this for washing dishes. We dilute it at a ratio of 8 parts water to 1 part Sal suds. Pure guesswork on our part...it might be just as effective at a higher ratio.

We have a professional cleaning lady come to the house for a few hours every two weeks. She's using it to wash our floors, sinks, counter tops, appliances, you name it. Again always diluted. She loved it so much she asked me to buy her some.

The other day I noticed a few black streaks on the tile floor that looked like road tar. From habit I grabbed a bottle of Fantastic from under the sink and a paper towel and started scrubbing, using my fingernail to help scrape it off. I was having a helluva time and then remember the Sal suds. Put a few drops of undiluted Sal suds on it and voila! the marks came off easy as pie. Love this stuff, best cleaner my wife and I have ever used.

I have used this in my cleaning business for nearly a decade now, and will quit cleaning when I can no longer get it! A little goes a long way, and it cleans just about everything. A capful mixed with water cleans: windows, marble/granite, wood floors, streak free. I use it to clean walls and trim, my car, dishes, laundry, and I've even used it as shampoo in a pinch with no problems!
